Mccarthyism, the Red Scare, and The Crucible

How are Mccarthyism, the Red Scare, and The Crucible related?

I couldn't find to many websites that talked about all three of them together so i just found three sites, one about each of them, that were very descriptive and told alot about each. None of them are long and are very easy to read.

Red Scare

http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/SaccoV/redscare.html

Somewhat of a longer website, but really in depth. Talks alot about the Red Scare though and about how the United States was afraid of the communist Russia.

Mccarthyism

http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/McCarthyism/Legacy_McCarthyism.html

This website realy defines Mccarthyism well and tells alot about the history of it. It also tells alot of the underlying details about the problems during this time period. It is only one of the links off of the Mccarthyism home page so there is much more about it if you go to the home page at the botom.

Crucible

http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/salem/SAL_CRU.HTM

This website talks more about the play, or movie than about the book but it also talks alot about Arthur Miller and the reason he wrote the play.

1. All I would tell you is to summarize how they all go together and relate. Otherwise, looks great!

Your website on the Red Scare is on the first one in the 1920s. I'm not sure if that is what Mrs. Hansen is looking for because the Red Scare with McCarthy was in the 1950s and 1960s.

The first link about the Red Scare didn't make a whole lot of sense to the topic at hand.

The second site on this one is a really good one. It has a lot of helpful information on it.

Please put them all on one! I think I might go insane!!!!
2. I've seen a few of these sites before and I thought that they were pretty good. The shorter and easier to understand the better!
Good Job.

2.) Try typing in all three events with a "+" in between, that's how I found my sites that discuss how the three events are interrelated.

Very interesting sites. They are all summarized well on your blog. The first site could have been summarized a little better, but other than that, good job!

1) This is a different explanation of why he wrote the book. Far different than all of the others.
2) The second site is interesting and very useful.
3) What is this site talking about…do you have to go to a certain link?
